Microsoft 365 security audit
Your email, documents, Teams and user accounts live in Microsoft 365. That makes it the most attractive target for attackers within your organization. In a Microsoft 365 security audit, Secure Sense reviews the complete security configuration of your environment and shows which settings leave you exposed right now, including the concrete fix for each one.
Why audit Microsoft 365?
Microsoft includes many security options, but a large share of them is off by default or has never been tuned to your situation. In practice we see the same risks again and again: accounts without enforced multi-factor authentication, legacy sign-in methods that are still open, email domains without proper SPF, DKIM and DMARC settings, files shared with "anyone with the link", and third-party apps with more permissions than anyone ever intended. Each of these is something an attacker with a stolen password can exploit.
What do we check?
Microsoft 365 has hundreds of security settings spread across Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune and Defender. We go through that complete configuration: from identities and access to email security, sharing and collaboration, devices, third-party apps and logging. This way every setting that currently leaves you exposed comes to light, together with the concrete solution.
What do you get?
A report with all findings ranked by risk, and for each finding the specific setting or measure that resolves it. Clear to you and ready for your IT administrator to act on. If you wish, we walk through the report in a joint session with your IT provider.
Frequently asked questions
What do you need from us?
Read access to your Microsoft 365 environment, or a joint session with your administrator. We do not change anything ourselves.
Will the audit disrupt our work?
No. The audit is a review of settings and configuration. Your employees will not notice a thing.
Is this a penetration test (pentest)?
The audit is a thorough configuration review. If you also want to see what an attacker can actually achieve, for example with a stolen password, we combine the audit with an attack simulation or a phishing simulation.
Read more about the phishing simulation and about a pentest of your environment.
