Vulnerability scanning: continuous insight into new vulnerabilities

Every week, hundreds of new vulnerabilities are published worldwide, and every update or change in your environment can introduce a new weak spot. With vulnerability scanning by Secure Sense, your environment is scanned automatically at regular intervals and a specialist reviews every alert. You only hear about what really matters, with concrete advice included.

Why scan continuously?

A penetration test (pentest) is a thorough snapshot. But between two pentests, all kinds of things change: new software, new integrations, new vulnerabilities in existing systems. Periodic scanning catches exactly that. It also helps you stay demonstrably in control for ISO 27001, the GDPR and the duty of care under the Dutch Cyberbeveiligingswet (NIS2 law).

How does it work?

We scan your environment with a professional vulnerability scanner that covers more than 177,000 plugins and 72,000 known vulnerabilities (CVEs) and is updated weekly with an average of 100 new checks. You choose the frequency: weekly, monthly or quarterly. A specialist reviews every finding and strips out noise and false alarms. You receive an understandable report with priorities. In case of a critical vulnerability we contact you immediately instead of waiting for the periodic report.

Two variants

External: your online systems, such as web applications and servers that are reachable from the internet.
Internal: the entire corporate network, including workstations, phones, printers and internal servers. Ransomware often spreads precisely through unpatched and unmanaged internal systems.

Two analysis options

Option 1: Secure Sense filters the results for relevance and false positives and sends you only the findings that matter, with concrete advice.
Option 2: your own team analyzes the raw results independently. A developer or network administrator can usually interpret them well.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a pentest?
A scan finds known vulnerabilities automatically. A pentest goes deeper, with human creativity and demonstrated proof. They complement each other: the pentest as a thorough measurement, the scan as continuous monitoring.

How often do you scan?
In consultation with you, for example monthly or quarterly, depending on how often your environment changes.

Will we notice anything?
No. The scans are configured carefully and do not put a noticeable load on your environment.
